Marie Ruzek, CIP, C.A.I.B.
Marie is a long time resident of the Crowsnest Pass, having done most of her schooling in the area.  She is a graduate of the Lethbridge Community College with a diploma in the Legal Secretary program. Marie then worked in the mining industry in the office for 10 years ,and was then  given an opportunity to get in the insurance business working with Crowsnest Agencies 18 years ago.

Marie has since obtained the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation from the Independent Insurance Broker Association of Alberta.    In 2005 she graduated from the Insurance Institute of  Canada with the Chartered Insurance Professional designation.

Along with the  sharing the management duties with her business partner, Sharlayne,  Marie is quite involved in the needs of the clients, with her experience and knowledge in personal , commercial and farm insurance.  

Marie is also an active member in the community, having been in the Crowsnest Pass Skating Club executive for the past 7 years, acting as President for three years.  
 
Sharlayne Makin, C.A.I.B.
Sharlayne Makin is also a long time resident of the Crowsnest Pass. She takes great pride in belonging to the community and it’s rich heritage and all it has to offer.

Sharlayne worked for Radford Insurance and then moved to Calgary to attend the University of Calgary. In 1988 Sharlayne decided to make insurance her career and began working for Harding and Hall Insurance Brokers in Calgary. Missing the Mountains and the Crowsnest Pass Sharlayne moved back and worked for a local brokerage. In 1997 she was given the opportunity to join Marie Ruzek and purchase Radford Insurance and Crowsnest Agencies turning it into Crowsnest Insurance Agencies Ltd.

With 18 years experience in the industry Sharlayne completed her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation and is currently hoping to complete the Chartered Insurance Professional designation this year

 

Joanne Liddell
 Joanne has worked for Crowsnest Insurance Agencies for 9 years, as the Receptionist.  Having worked for Coleman Collieries Ltd, as Receptionist, for 6 years and Secretary for Royal LePage Real Estate for 20 years, she has extensive experience in dealing with the public and office procedures. 

Joanne and her husband of 34 years were both raised in the Crowsnest Pass and have knowledge of the area and its people.  They have two grown children and two beautiful grandchildren. 

Joanne enjoys dealing with the public and works together with the brokers to meet the clients' insurance needs.
